What are some simple steps I can take to protect my privacy online

Update:04-06-2020

No. of Yarns

KNITS:-In knitted fabrics, only one yarn is looped again to produce a braided looking fabric.

WOVEN:- In woven fabrics, two or multiple yarns are interlaced at right angles form a fabric.

Stretchability

KNITS:- Knitted fabrics, can be easily stretched along its width very less on the lenght. And if you stretch it too much it may lose its shape.

WOVEN:- Woven fabrics, has almost no stretchability along its width but slight stretch along its length.

Wrinkle

KNITS:- Knitted fabric if balled up will always return to its shape and smoothness after some time.

WOVEN:- Woven fabrics when balled up will just wrinkle up badly and not return to its original shape until ironed properly

Edges

KNITS:- The edges of knitted fabric tend to bend so manufactures put glue or starch on lengthwise of the fabric to prevent it.

WOVEN:- Woven fabrics have edges that are locked with selvage widthwise on the fabric so they tend to fray lengthwise.

The difference between these two types of textile is in the matrix of the textile and how that matrix is created. Below, the difference is explained in very basic terms.

Woven textiles use several yarns that interlock together in a two axis format like a grid (x and y) known as the warp and the weft. The warp axis runs lengthwise and the weft side to side. Warp yarns are stretched onto a loom tightly spaced, while the weft yarn(s) is passed back and forth across the warp threads in rows alternating over and under the warp yarns like in a basket. Each successive row reverses the sequence under them over. Plain weave is the simplest version of this, but many variations in the over under sequence produces a variety of different textures and patterns.

knitted textiles use only “one” yarn that uses loops to interlock with another set of loops in the next row. Depending on whether it is a weft knit or warp knit, the rows run horizontally or vertically respectively.

Knitted textiles have a natural flexibility which allows for stretching in all directions, while woven textiles typically do not stretch along the warp or weft. Woven textiles do stretch on the bias (45˚ Angle).
